Happy Birthday, Tolkien.

Cheers, to you on your birthday. I’ve been thinking about journeys as I head into a new semester teaching The Hobbit and Beowulf and what new ways I can revisit some of my favorite material. I read the pieces with new vigor every time I visit “a hole in the ground” and the heroes from Geatland and Middle-earth. So to ring in the new year, and to follow my wish, it is to have renewed inspiration and fun taking yet another walkabout through time honored literary adventures. Thankfully, I have hobbits, wizards, queens, and many other creatures to help me on my way. Cheers, Tolkien, you always find a way into my heart and mind.

Happy Birthday, friends.

Welcome

I wanted to create a place open for discussion, discovery, and introspection. I hope to share my writing ideas and projects, events, and research. Tolkien’s works have always be a staring point for the greater points in my life and when I need inspiration I find myself gravitating to his words.
